The fluorescent lights hum. The yellow wallpaper never ends. Somewhere in the corridors, Captain Clark is listening — and every footstep, every flashlight click, every word you say tells him exactly where you are.
That tension is the whole game, and it's why this wiki exists. Hussrooms (officially Clark (EARLY ACCESS) - Huss rooms) doesn't give you a tutorial; it drops you into a procedural maze of yellow corridors and dares you to find the way out before Clark finds you. This community wiki is built for the moments when you need answers fast: how Clark tracks you, when to risk the flashlight, how server-lock changes a run, where the latest codes are. No filler, no guessed mechanics — just what's verifiable, clearly labeled when it isn't.

What is Hussrooms (Clark)?
Hussrooms is a Backrooms / GMod-style horror survival game on Roblox, currently in Early Access. You spawn into a procedurally generated sprawl of yellow corridors (the community calls the layout Huss Valley) and the only objective is to escape Captain Clark — an entity that hunts primarily by sound.
The game has crossed 19.7 million plays and is still growing through Early Access. It's developed by mothem_XD (community and guide sites also reference the studio name "Moist Carpet" — treat the Roblox game page as the authoritative source). Because it's Early Access, mechanics, maps, and balance shift between patches, so this wiki marks what's confirmed versus what's community-reported.
How Clark hunts you
Clark is a sound-driven predator. The core survival skill is audio discipline:
- Footsteps create noise as you move — sprinting is loud, crouch-walking is quiet.
- Flashlight clicks (toggling the light on/off) are sharp, distinct sounds Clark can lock onto.
- Voice — proximity voice chat means talking, or breathing heavily near him, can give you away.
Line of sight matters too, but hearing is Clark's primary sense. Most deaths come from noise discipline failures, not from being seen. This is why audio navigation and understanding Clark's anatomy are the heart of survival.
The core survival loop
Almost every run folds into one loop: enter → navigate quietly → manage light → escape.
You load into a fresh procedural layout, orient yourself by sound and landmarks, and push toward an exit — burning flashlight battery only when the risk of darkness outweighs the risk of being heard. Clark patrols the corridors; if he locks onto your noise, you break line of sight, go quiet, and re-route. Make it to an exit and the run is banked. Get caught, and the run ends.
Two systems make that loop brutal:
Flashlight & battery
Your flashlight has a finite battery that cannot be recharged mid-run. Every click is a gamble — light reveals the path and dead-ends, but the click itself is a sound Clark hears, and the battery only drains one direction. Run out in the dark and you're navigating by sound alone.
Server-lock
Once the first door opens at the start of a run, the server locks — no new players can join. There are no reinforcements mid-run. Whoever spawned in is the full team; if someone dies or disconnects, you're down a body. This makes the squad you start with the squad you finish with.
Solo vs. co-op
You can run Hussrooms alone, but co-op changes everything. A coordinated squad splits roles — a lead who paths forward, a rear guard who watches for Clark, a light manager who controls flashlight discipline. The upside is more eyes and shared risk; the downside is more bodies making noise, and voice coordination can itself attract Clark.
How to start
The corridors are unfriendly on purpose, but the order you learn things in matters:
- Learn the audio rules first. Understand footsteps, clicks, and voice before you chase exits. See Getting Started.
- Master the flashlight. Know when light is worth the battery and the click.
- Study Clark. Knowing how he tracks and patrols means you stop dying to mystery.
- Run with a squad. Learn the roles and how server-lock shapes team play.
- Practice escaping. Learn to read procedural corridors and pick escape routes.
